Why Isn't My Result Appearing on the Leaderboard?

Results must pass quality checks and take a few minutes to process. Here's every reason a result might not appear — and what you can do about each one.

Most common reasons — with fixes

Reason How to confirm Fix
Email not verified Check account settings — verified status shown there Click the verification link in the original email, or request a new one
Not logged in during test Check your test history in your dashboard — is this test there? Log in and re-run the test
Result still processing (under 10 minutes) Wait and refresh the leaderboard Wait — processing typically completes within 5 minutes
Result failed quality checks Result appears in your history but not the leaderboard Review conditions below; re-run under eligible conditions
Not the highest result this week in that category Your result is lower than existing entries on the leaderboard The leaderboard only shows top entries; yours is in the ranking but lower
VPN or proxy was active Result in history but not leaderboard; you used a VPN during the test Disable VPN and re-run; VPN results are ineligible

Email verification — the most common cause

Unverified email accounts are excluded from competition entirely. When you create an account, we send a verification email with a link you must click. If you didn't receive it:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Go to account settings
  3. Click "Resend verification email"
  4. Check your spam or junk folder if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes

Once you verify your email, future tests you run will be eligible. You cannot retroactively add previously run tests to the competition after verifying.

Quality check failures — what causes them

Anomalous speed result

If your result is significantly higher than what's typical for your detected ISP and location, it may be flagged for review. This can happen legitimately (you have unusually fast infrastructure) or indicate a measurement anomaly (e.g., a browser extension intercepted the test). Running the test 2–3 more times and seeing consistent results reduces the chance of anomaly flagging.

VPN or data centre exit node

Results submitted through a known VPN exit node or data centre IP address are automatically excluded. The competition measures real consumer internet speeds — routing through a VPN to a data centre IP does not represent a genuine consumer connection. Disable your VPN before running a competition-eligible test.

Browser automation or scripting

Tests initiated by automated scripts, browser bots, or tools that bypass the normal test flow are detected and excluded. These leave fingerprints in the test session that the quality pipeline identifies.

Processing time

Results typically appear on the leaderboard within 2–5 minutes of the test completing. During periods of high activity (especially Monday morning UTC when many users begin the new week), processing may take up to 10 minutes. If your result hasn't appeared after 10 minutes and you've confirmed you were logged in with a verified account, the result likely did not pass quality checks.

Quality check decisions are automated and final — they cannot be manually reviewed or overridden.
