Can I Delete My Data?

Yes. You can delete individual test results from your dashboard, or request complete account deletion including all associated data. Here's exactly what each option covers and how to do it.

Deleting test history from your dashboard

Logged-in users can delete individual test results or clear their entire test history from the dashboard at any time. This removes the results from your personal history immediately and permanently. Deleted individual results are removed from our databases within 24 hours.

Note: deleting a test result from your personal history does not affect any aggregate statistics that were already computed from it. Once a result has been included in an ISP or country ranking calculation, removing the individual record does not retroactively change the calculated average — though rankings are recalculated periodically from active data only.

Deleting your account and all data

To request complete deletion of your account and all data associated with it:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Go to the Contact page
  3. Submit a request with the subject "Account deletion request"
  4. Include the email address associated with your account

We will process the deletion within 30 days of receiving your request. You'll receive a confirmation email when complete.

What gets deleted in a full account deletion

Data Deleted? Notes
Account email and password hash Yes Within 30 days
Username / display name Yes Within 30 days
All personal test results and history Yes Within 30 days
Competition entries and leaderboard appearances Yes Your entries removed from current and past leaderboards
Hall of Champions entries Yes Attributed records are anonymised or removed
Aggregate statistics (ISP/country rankings) Not retroactive Previously computed aggregates are not altered; your data is excluded from future calculations

Anonymous test data

If you've run tests without an account, those results are stored against a session identifier (not your account). This anonymous data is retained for 12 months and then automatically purged. There is no personal identifier stored with anonymous results, so they cannot be linked back to you and cannot be selectively deleted on request — they are simply not associated with any person.

Your rights under GDPR and CCPA

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data under GDPR. If you are a California resident, you have equivalent rights under CCPA. Submitting an account deletion request via the contact page fulfils both. We will respond within 30 days (GDPR requires response within 30 days; CCPA requires 45 days).
